Brunel Racing's Management Team
Brunel Racing is managed by a group of 6 final year Motorsport Engineering students, with a little
help from various academics at the university.
All our team managers are in their 5th years at Brunel studying for MEng degrees in Motorsport Engineering,
and will be graduating in summer 2010. They all have a year's
previous experience with Brunel Racing.

Team Principal - Simon Dingle
Simon completed a 15 month industrial placement in 2007-08 working at Delphi Diesel Systems, Gillingham.
He worked as a development engineer working with advanced after-treatment solutions to reduce exhaust emissions.
As a member of the 2008-09 Brunel Racing team, Simon was responsible for the intake
system on BR-X. Later in the season he contributed towards the car build and team administration, and was
an event co-ordinator at Hockeheim.
As Team Principal, Simon is relishing the opportunity to lead
Brunel Racing all the way to the Formula Student competitions in summer 2010.

Testing, Simulation & Marketing Manager - Yannick Cheung
Yannick was an integral member of the 2008-09 Brunel Racing team, writing his 3rd year dissertation on the design, validation
and optimisation of a vehicle dynamics simulation in Matlab. He also worked on the testing of BR-9 and contributed heavily towards the build of BR-X.
Building on his experience with Formula Student, as well as academic success, and work experience in marketing and finance,
Yannick now manages all Brunel Racing's Testing, Simulation and Marketing activities.

Bodywork, Aero & Drivetrain Manager - Daniel Sheard
In 2006-07, Daniel completed a year's placement at GKN Drivelines. He worked as an applications engineer developing bespoke drivetrain solutions
ranging from military to motorsport applications.
Daniel was a member of Brunel Racing in 2008-09, designing the drivetrain system for BR-X. He also participated in the build and testing of BR-X.
His experience in with drivetrain systems, Formula Student, and manufacturing methods has lead to his appointment as Drivetrain and bodywork manager.

Unsprung Manager - Andrew Bonjour
Andrew completed a 12 month industrial placement in 2007-08 working at Delphi Diesel Systems, Gillingham.
He worked as a development engineer working on the testing and development of high pressure commonrail fuel pumps.
After working at Delphi, Andrew was part of Brunel Racing's BR-X team where he designed the
steering system. He was heavily invovled with the build of BR-X and was also a driver for the Endurance and Sprint events.
Making use of his great experience in both Formula Student and vehicle dynamics, Andrew is the Unsprung Group Manager for 2009-2010.

Chassis & Controls Manager - Andrew Haughton
Andrew was part of the 2008-09 BR-X team, developing a very succesful traction and launch control system. Andrew was also an integral member
of the team throughout the build and developed the traction control for both BR-9 and BR-X.
Building on his academic success in solid body mechanics and experience with control systems, Andrew is in charge of the design of the chassis and control systems for Brunel Racing's 2009-2010 entrant.

Powertrain Manager - James Stephens
James undertook an industrial placement between 2007 and 2008, working as a development engineer in advanced engineering at Delphi Diesel Systems
in Gillingham.
His previous FS experience includes the engine development for the 2008-09 team, contributing towards the
pre-event build and partaking as a Race Engineer and mechanic at the competitions in summer 2009. James also helped numerous other
Formula Student teams with the development of their powertrain.
