BR-9 Test at Bruntingthorpe
The Brunel Racing testing team completed a successful development test of BR-9 at Bruntingthorpe Proving Grounds on Thursday.
BR-9 is now fully functioning, having been fitted last week with replacement drivetrain components, and is also using the final BR-9 engine map which allows the R6 engine to produce almost 70bhp and 45Nm of torque with last year's intake and exhaust.
The day-long test session was used to set up traction and launch control. After some experimentation with the configuration of the ECU throughout the day, the traction control system saved one second over a thirty second lap. With launch control enabled, acceleration performance was also improved.
The results of the test session were very promising, and we hope to build on these developments further in the coming weeks.
